Frequently asked questions
How does Echo calculate levels?
Every member starts at level 1. Level 2 takes 10 XP, and each level after that takes 10 times the current level plus 10 XP, so level 10 takes 530 XP in total. With the default 1 XP per message, that is 530 messages.
Why does the calculator show a least chat time?
Members only earn XP for one message per cooldown, 10 seconds by default. The least chat time is the messages needed multiplied by the cooldown: it is the fastest anyone can get there.
How does a MEE6 level compare?
MEE6 needs 5 × level² + 50 × level + 100 XP per level and gives about 20 XP per message once a minute. The calculator converts a MEE6 level into messages and shows the Echo level the same chatting would reach.
Can I reward members for reaching a level?
Yes. The Levels plugin can give members a role when they reach a level you choose and announce every level-up in a channel.
